THEO SNYDER
(They/them/theirs), and I'm a second-year studio art major at Reed College. I work mostly in iterative processes—by way of analog/digital media—that explore questions of spirituality, and to what extent religious law can shape artistic practice, and conversely, how the artistic gesture can be incorporated into, or thought of as religious practice. This early in my education, I can't profess to have only one primary concern or means of expression; this is more of an encapsulation of themes I see enter my work as frequently as they leave. In my free time, I mostly watch baseball (or just follow it when watching's too painful, as has been the case over the last few years spent with my Giants).

YEELA BARZILAY
The meaning of my name is mountain goat. I was born and raised in Ma'alot-Tarshiha. A small city in north of Israel. In high school, I learned theater and love it very much. One of my favorite things is to watch movies. My partner and I prefer to watch movies in a cinema.
Before I stared learning photography, we did a hiking trail for three months on the border of Spain and France called the GR11.
It was a challenging experience. It taught me so much about myself. I felt a huge love for nature and yet a mental difficulty in devoting myself to the nomadic life.
The nature calms me but it also forces me to get out of my comfort zone, in every way.
I am looking forwards and exciting for my next trip in the future, somewhere over the world, hope it will be soon.
With regard to photography, I feel I am in the beginning of searching and discovering my ways. Currently, my photography focus of interest are people. People are a mystery to me. The movie to Jerusalem exposes me with all kinds of people. I see characters that make me want to capture them. Getting to know them by the means of filming them. For example, in my work there is a Georgian guy that came to Israel to work. He has very bad Hebrew. Even though he makes the whole kitchen laugh all the time. This guy makes me curios to photograph other sides of him. I know I am just observing and waiting for the right moment.
